Installing Antivirus Software

For University machines, please contact CTS. (CTS installs Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 8.0 and keeps track of the licenses.) After receiving your CD, please see the installation instructions found below.
For personal computers, you're responsible for your own antivirus software.

Local Installation of Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition
- Insert CD ROM
- If CD doesn't start up automatically, navigate to the CD using Windows Explorer and double-click Cdstart.exe.
- From the menu screen, select Install Norton Antivirus Client Locally
- Select Next
- Check the box next to "I accept the terms in the license agreement"
- Select the snap-ins to install if you use any of the products listed.
- Select destination folder, or select Next to use default folder
- Select Unmanaged
- Select Next to enable file system Real Time Protection
- Select Install
- When installation finishes, select Next 3 times to allow Live Update to run after installation.
Norton will do an initial system scan immediately following installation.
