For University machines, please contact CTS. (CTS installs Webroot Spy Sweeper and has to keep track of the liscences.)

For personal computers, five options for anti-spyware software are available (you may want to install all of them):

  • Anti-spyware from Microsoft can be found at microsoft.com; look for "Windows AntiSpyware (Beta)."
  • Webroot's Spy Sweeper, which the University uses, can be found at the Webroot Software page.
  • A cheaper alternative to Webroot is Sunbelt CouterSpy, found on Sunbelt's Page
  • Spybot Search and Destroy is a little out of date, but has a good trap on registry mods. It can be found on Spybot's homepage
  • Free anti-spyware downloads can be found at Merijn.org
